A new SENDIASS website for London Borough of Havering

One of several new websites we launched for SENDIASS teams across the UK throughout 2020.
When we first spoke to Steven Newberry, a Case Officer at Havering Children's services, he told us that a website for the SENDIASS team at the London Borough of Havering had been being discussed internally for a long time and this was something that was vitally needed.
Working directly with Havering we built a website that is not only modern and easy to use, but is uniquely Havering and closely tied to their branding.
The new website is easy to navigate with quick links to information for Parents/Carers, Young People, Children, and Professionals. There's also a Glossary to make sure everything is straightforward to understand, and that the wide array of information on the site is accessible to everyone.
All our SENDIASS websites are WCAG 2.1 compliant from the design stage onwards so the Havering website can be read in a variety of languages as well at higher magnification. The modern colour palette and typeface never compromise the accessibility of the site.
Through working closely with Steven and the team we were able to provide them with their long awaited website in a way that matches what they need whilst being appealing to the people of Havering.
